Removing the insulation off the carpeting and elsewhere though out the car amounts to little over 14lbs. It was a full garbage bag full and then some. The stuff is pretty dense.. The GT2/3 rear carpeting is also a few pounds lighter.

Thank you for the tip Richard but I highly doubt it. I'm running a single Carbon Kevlar Recaro Spa which is under 10lbs for the seat itself. I would venture a guess that it's the lightest seat available on the market. I doubt I can plug any more weight savings out of that tree...

Because our Federal Department of Transportation doesnt seem to like special shiny bits that make cars extra cool. All they care about is legislation to help meet some obscure regulation.

I have no idea but figures since it's an OEM window it "should" hold up fairly well over time. I would certainly not put it on a daily driver that sits outside baking in the elements but for a track car or a weekend driver I think it will hold up fairly well. Porsche used this window on the Euro 997GT3RS 4.0 also.

You would think that but it isn't just the USA that gets snubbed. All non-Euro countries are denied the extra special bits too.

Current retail on the window is close to $1800 now but can obviously be had for less..
