The guy over there that said they were almost the same car is an idiot.
Different seats, different interior trim, different windshields, different motor mounts, different ignition switches, different keys, different sounds systems, different gas tanks, different brakes, different suspensions, different headlights, different sunroofs, different taillights, carpet, different headliner, different door handles, different keys, different windshield wipers, different instrument panel, different frunk and engine cover releases, different ebrake handle, different option sticker location, different window regulators, etc., etc., etc.

Very true. I actually got "bombed" while sitting at a red light and a no right turn on red sign. I saw the bird land right on top of the overhead street light and thought "This would be a lousy time for that bird to take a dump". Sure enough, he did. It hit right on my windshield header and splattered everywhere. Very entertaining for everyone at the light ...except me. Good thing I did have my cap on!

I just posted over in the 996 forum (w/my driving intro and some angst), thought I’d say hi over here too after a helpful pointer from there (you guys are well equipped with forums!). This is a bad photo of my just-acquired 2004 911 turbo cab. Any newbie pointers welcome. They’ve already told me to join PCA......
I wont get another black car because it is a PITA to keep clean.
But in my next life ALL my cars will be jet black!
BTW what 'bike' do you have in the background?
Honestly, the 996 forum and the TT forum are great resources for everything you could want to know...if not helpful folks will steer you in the right direction.
Kind of jealous....while I don't go for Top Down stuff my wife loves them.
Good on you and AWESOME purchase!

Thanks! You’re assuming I care about keeping it clean.......(ducks and runs)
Not my bike though, and don’t know. The photo is from the seller’s garage (Larry’s Hiline Motorsports, an amazing place).
