Help me choose a tire
Blew out 1 rear on my very slightly worn Toyo Proxes T1S.
Going to replace both years as the T1S is not available.
Help me pick.

Bridgestone Potenza RE970AS PP 100W XL

Yokohama ADVAN Sport V105 100Y XL

What is your intended use case?
Commuting, weekend warrior, canyon carving, autocross, open tracking?
When I bought my car it had a fresh set of 18" Falken FK453s, they were better than I expected and work great for general street use. After 5000 miles the rears went away (1/2 worn) and lost most of their grip.
I wouldn't buy them again, but I am a weekend warrior/canyon carver and went with a much more aggressive tire (Yokohama AD08R) this time around and I am very happy.
In your 295/30/19 size, I'd look hard at the Michelin PSS and the new 4S. I'd also change all 4 tires at the same time. My car didn't like new Falken FK453s out back with 1/2 worn FK452s up front (when I bought it) and the PSM buzzed constantly. I bought a set of matching 453s for the front and the PSM buzzing went away.

What's on the front? T1S?

Or the new 4S that replaces it (I see you mentioned that above, too)! 100% what I would be running if they came in 18.

I love my Yoks, but they're not quiet. The PSSs and 4S tires should be both sticky and quiet!

I have the new Pilot 4S's and they are awsome. Mine is a weekend car, but I put it on the track one weekend and was very impressed with their performance. No regrets.

Tough crowd lol
So I will ignore my original suggested choices and go with one of the Pilots.
My supplier has both the Pilot Sport 4S ($470.00) and the Pilot Super Sports ($410.00)
My concern with the 4S is it comes with a 50,000 km tread wear warranty.
Must be hard as a rock for the last half to achieve this?
Who wants tires to last that long?
