Default Beware if using the R888R!

I've always felt that the Toyo 888s were garbage and their woes seem to continue with the new R888R. Be very very careful...Even the redesigned tires appear to be junk...

Good to know. Thanks.

I will be sticking with the NT-01s.

You're welcome. In the last 6 years I've burned through 25+ sets of NT01s and never had any issues with the tires but I've seen numerous failure of the Toyos. Based on what I've seen I wouldn't take the chance..

Junk. Seems to be the same old story as I recall plenty of r888 delams/failures.

You would think being owned by the same parent co. as Nitto they could have gotten this new 888r sorted out, bummer.

I don't get that either... Toyo owns Nitto. You'd think the tires would be similar. I tried the 888s years ago and couldn't believe how crappy they were compared to the NT01s. The 888s have gotten such bad rap over the years but Toyo obviously haven't learned their lesson.

I've been saying the same thing about Toyo's forever...junk.
Shame because they can work well, but they fail...

That's scary! It sucks for our stock size that many manufacturers don't bother anymore. I'm a Michelin guy but the ps2 is a little old now, especially after reading what the PS4 tires can do.

With the amount of praise for the NT-01 here and elsewhere, I'm surprised anyone would choose otherwise unless availability and size constraints dictated.

My track car is a E36 M3 and I tried them on the BMW. I concur with Powdrhound, stay away from R888s!

I drove the R888R today on the street in dry & damp at 50 -110 mph for over 50 miles.

They are the best street DOT R compound tire I have ever drove on. Very responsive & quite .

The hysteria around them is just like the left wing medias fake news!

Its fake.
