Bone Stock 996tt vs bone stock Gallardo

- Gallardo beats the 996tt in every possible way and does it soundly

"modify the 996tt and the Gallardo will have it's head handed to it on a platter. "
"

Modify BOTH the 996tt AND Gallardo

So modified 996tt vs. modified Gallardo

Gallardo beats the 996tt in every possible way.

Gallardo is a very good car. Infact Ferrari is having MAJOR problems in desinging it's modena successor to beat Gallardo. After all the hard work gone into the new model they went out and tested it and went back to the "drawing board" because Gallardo was still faster.

@ liquid_technique..

I heard that too..
However, in order to be able to compete with the Gallardo you have to take the 360 Challenge Stradale, and that costs way more by still being slower than a Gallardo equiped with the sport suspension set up...

IndyKid,

Being someone who has owned both types of vehicles I can tell you that a stock 993TT will not keep up with even a Diablo VT roadster (which is what I had), let alone the new Murcielago.

My VT roadster with a 520hp V12 and AWD would outrun the 993TT no problem (on the highway). I would never do a race from a deadstop because both cars having AWD require high-rpm clutch drops to get them going. On a roll, once the VT is up to speed it would pull away easily.

C'mon - Lamaborgagianni?? Who cares? Like someone else said, no racing - except for that oil burning piece of rigatoni in F1.
And you know they only tested that jewelry at the Ring for one lap, because everyone knows what happens to jewelry cars after one lap.
And you may have a faster accelerating gallardo burro in stock form, but modified against a 3.6 tt it is no comparison. The stock 993 is insanely detuned.
