Default Can someone tell me if my turbo has stock internals?

Just got my car back from having my coolant hose pinned + new clutch, and my tech suspects that my turbos might have been rebuilt.

Would anyone be able to help identify if this is the stock k24? Car is an x50. Tech seems to believe that wastegates are definitely aftermarket.

Thanks so much!

Your wastegates are aftermarket.

Not sure about the internals of the turbo.

Pretty common upgrade to add 1 bar wastegates to tuned K24 cars though.

You have original Gold Tag Stock K24's.. They do not appear rebuilt (compressor paint intact and a few other things I have noticed)

The wastegate actuator is the Ultimate Motorwerks K24 1 bar wastegate/actuator kit.

Thank you! Kevin, may i know what is an original Gold Tag Stock K24? Is there any other kind of stock K24s?

This car might have been on a UMW Tune as well. When i bought this car, i decided to get it custom tuned on Cobb, at a local tuner called BrenTuning.

Bren found my wastegates to be stuck, and had to adjust the spring to get it to open/close. (Can't remember the specifics). He also suspected the car's tune then was UMW as he said that the "parameters" looked like it was.

Kevin, any updates to these wastegates? I can imagine they must be quite old.

Thanks again!

Yes, I have a rebuild kit available. New springs, fasteners and linkage nuts are in the kit.
