5inch Lip 19x12rear
Is it possible to have a 5 inch lip on the rear of the 996 widebodies(C4S, Turbo, GT2) if I go 19x12?
What offset would i have to have?

Yes it is possible. I just saw a TT with a 5 inch lip at By Design. 12x19. They weren't the HRE, not sure who the mfgr is. Give them a call 310-559-9750. The lips were DEEP.

Sharkster, I like the deeper lips to a point, but they looked abit too deep for my taste. Plus you would have to run 12" wide wheels and with limited tire selection it's not worth the added weight IMO.
They looked OK but the offset was a few mm off, not as aggressive as my set of HRE with the 4" lips.

curves,
the by design wheels are 19x11 and have a 5" lip. made by a company called te22 and priced below 5k per set. I drove in their tt cab that was slammed -- approx 2 in lower than stock. the car drove very smoothly and the rear wheels were very impressive. not sure of the exact link but 6speedonline.com has a thread with pics. there was no need to roll the fenders or anything else drastic. hope this helps.
