Hey Dave! Yes that was me in my 993. I remember you guys pulling in behind me. Hope to meet up soon again. Love the GT2 decklid on your car btw. Who makes it? Is it a Misha decklid?

Such a small world sometimes.

Indeed it is a Misha, circa 2009 for this car. I had recent interaction with them that was mixed, I lost an inlet and it took quite some time to get a replacement through them (lots of reaching out, reminders, mistake on the wrong side and finally sent both sides to make it right). Despite that... they did come through and I got the needed small part from a wing that has been on the car for 8 years now, that is a pretty nice upside imo.

Nice. Suits your car very well. I have considered going to the GT2 wing and was looking at the Misha option.

Not too many white 996 turbos around

I was eyeing up this car but could not justify the cost of it as I have a white 997

If it were an option I would have loved it

Enjoy the car in good health it's a lovely setup

Congrats, that is one amazing example and awesome color combo. I went the opposite direction of you, after seeing your 993 RS Tribute, I sold my 996 Turbo and picked up a 993. Was definitely inspired.

Enjoy the RTurbo, the 996 brotherhood is a great community.

Cheers!

Thanks! How are you liking it? Very different cars. Each one satisfies a different need. Do you miss the power at all?

Well admittedly, it feels terribly slow. My 996 had been built up to a good power level (750hp). But I am not looking for speed anymore, been there and done that. I was looking for the driving experience and I love the build process. Right now trying to figure out how to best get to your old RS, RS-5 height

So far so good! Let me know if you need any advice on the 996, like I said the brotherhood is great and am never far from the community.

Cheers,

Eric

That car is amazing. Always loved it. So do you know if 911-Al is doing another 996 turbo project?
