Default Thinking of going back to 18"

Currently i have 19" Ruger wheels on my 2001 TT. I love the look, but i'm not loving the tire selection. Thinking of going back to 18".

What are the good 18" options similar to Rugers' in appearance? I was thinking Victor Innsbruck, but looks like they've been discontinued.

Ideas? Suggestions?

Only aftermarket wheels I'd go for...BBS E88's, nothing else looks or is better than the stock twists. I love the looks of the twists on our cars, Porsche really really nailed it with this generation Turbo.

So much this ^. I love the stock twists on this car. They really dont work on much else, but are great for our body style. I cant wait until I get my suspension so I can start saving for a set of E88's.

Dont like BBS or E88 wheels. i used Modulare wheel, many designs to choose from, mine are three piece wheels you can configure the wheels, color, looks, etc.
Good selection of looks in 18" The other nice thing you can use Porsche center caps.

Ugh, it pains me to say no I will not be there. My region is running the event. Great people, you should enjoy. I run AutoX for that region, so it has taken up all my weekends, thus the wifey said no dice for Indy. I even had an invite to the Dalara factory on Saturday :-(. I WILL be there next year. A really great guy in the club will have his 996TT out there. Just got a PSS10 setup done last week. I think he runs in RED instructor group.

To the OP, you could look at the CCW wheels as well. I like some of those designs. A very Race inspired look to them. Im just partial to the BBS wheels because my first set of wheels were BBS RCs on my MKIV GTI VR6 (which I still have). 14 years old, and they still look great!

Gotha. The run groups are a bit confusing. They have me in the WHITE advanced instructor group but I see they have several others. Should be fun.

IMO, considering going to 19's.. if you go through multiple sets a season the 19" options are enticing.. ..

what tires do you use on your 19s that don't mess with your speedo and such? I did multiple calculations and the only tire size that is not too far off from OEM (diameter, revolutions per minute, etc) is 315/25r19 at the back. There are only 3 manufacturers that make tires in this size: Micheline, Nitto, and Yokohama.

Michelines are on back order everywhere at $600+ per tire. I have Nitto Invo and don't like them that much. Yokohamas are super hard to find as well.

If you deviate from that size you mess up suspension geometry/speed calibration.

If you want a wheel that keeps the same style as your 19" wheels. HRE offers a set. I agree with everyone else here. It is damn damn hard to beat the oem twist. The CCW classics look great but, it turns the look more into a track looking car. I've been looking for a set of gt2 wheels. I just missed the last set that sold on here. There's really nothing that needs to be done to the 6TT with the way it comes from the factory. I'm not even a fan of the gt2 body either.
