I have Cargraphics 997 GT3 exhaust, Fabspeed intake, chipped ECU, Light weight fly wheel, Porsche Motorsport LSD, revalved OEM shocks with stiffer Eibach springs, GT3 Euro seats, Porsche Tequipment Roll Bar, solid engine mounts, Tarett LCAs, Cup Shifter cables, etc.
Yes it does sound somewhat similar. I really like that Seal Grey color too but they're not very common.

The Seal Grey is my favorite 6GT3 colour, but very uncommon.

Whatever you do, get a good Pre-Purchase Inspection from someone who really knows these cars. Great cars, but not cheap to fix.

I had one done by the Porsche Specialist in Broomall PA, Kevin McConnell. I don't know how to tell if it was good or not - it's the first PPI I've ever had done!
But it seems thorough. Unfortunately though they were not able to do a full throttle run due to the weather.
They did compression and cam deviation which both are fine.

I've already prepared mentally for the expense of the coolant line fix. But I'm probably under-prepared for the general maintenance and slippery-slope items.

yes. PPI with a DME check is key.

Yep I had one done, just got the results yesterday. Doesn't seem like any big issues but I'm not skilled at these things.
DME shows 196 range 1 and zero range 2 over revs along with 310 hours, a little different than what someone else previously posted.
With some sleuthing I found that the ECU was replaced in 2010 when the EVOMSit tune was done.
I had them do compression and cam deviation which were fine.

Yes, I know the car up in Montreal, including the previous owner and the guy who serviced it. I also know a trustworthy sales guy at the dealer you can talk to.

A car with 43000 miles should have about 1300 - 1400 operating hours. One with 310 hours means the counter has been reset/ECU changed, etc. Did you check the CarFax for mileage inconsistencies?

A car with this low overrevs after this many years is suspect. Remember, Range 1 is just at/near the rev limiter. 196 ignitions is less than 1/2 a second...

Regardless, cam deviation should give you an idea if the cams/chains/tensioners are in OK shape. Compression and leak down tell you about pistons,.rings, valves, etc.

Given that the car comes with a cool shirt (is the box included?), this car has probably done some serious track work. The big gash on the left center console is probably from changing out the stock seat for a track seat, or vice verse.

6GT3s are tough cars. Track work does not phase me per se. You just need to be aware, and go in with your eyes wide open.

I agree. I have a 996TT that Ive had since 2011. Now that its FULLY sorted, we have a third car and the kids are old enough that I dont need the back seat, Im thinking that Id rather have a 6GT3 in my garage for occasional use than the turbo for occasional use. They're just more special, unique and raw!

What cam deviation numbers (I assume in -/ + degrees) should you look for in a healthy engine?

Why was the ECU replaced?
The shop that did the tune said that there was some issue with the existing ECU that prevented it from properly being flashed.
They said there were no engine issues at the time they did that.

Just from looking around on the internet, I saw that +/- 6 degrees is the normal range. But I don't know if that's correct or what the interpretation details are.
The car I'm looking at has +1.29/-3.26 degrees.

Those are similar to my numbers when last checked. The mechanic was OK with them.
