GT3 - How Many Miles you guys have
With the GT3 in the hands of fellow Rennlisters out for the last several months just curious how many miles you guys have and any drive reports and comments you may have. Also curious how many are seeing daily driver usage.
Mine was built in October and awaiting delivery. I am real anxious since I have never driven one, my prior car being a 03 996.

650 miles and counting, not a daily driver. Picked her up the first week of September before going out of town for 3 weeks.
Coming from a 99 C2, it is quite an improvement. The power and throttle responce is amazing compared to the 3.4L. The intake and exhaust note is pure music. Ride and handling feels a lot tighter compared to the ROW M030. It is lower and firmer, but does not feel to harsh. I also prefer the interior of the GT3... I have the full leather which is worlds better than the basketball vinyl and gray plastic of my 99. As far as the lack of interior amenities... well I can not miss what I never had (PSM, PCM, seat warmers, etc.)
How is your going to be optioned?

Mine is optioned bare bones. Just Xenons, floor mats, and crest in head rest. The color will be SY with black interior. I should have gotten full leather, but did not have it in my C2.

my is bare bones too. xenon and mats period. picked up 9/17, now has 2000 miles, weekend driver only.
compared to my 02C2, GT3 is far more stable and the nose isn't floating at all. very secure. almost as stable as my 02C4S. however, the steering and throttle steering are better than C4S. the low end torque seems to be stronger on the "normal" 996's, just from feel nothing scientific about it. much more mechanical noise (ah.. music) than other 996's. and get the rpm over 5k and you will LOVE the music.

I don't like my GT-3...
...I love it!!
Mine is an almost daily driver with close to 2000 miles on it. This is definately my favorite car having owned a variety of late model exotics (although the coolest is definitely the 360 spider). As well, I club race a 2001 Cup car.
I replaced the US stock seats with GT-3 seats, and while a little inconvenient as a daily driver, as a driving enthusiast, it is well worth it.
Personally, I do not think the car is too low, nor too stiff. However, I would agree that the GT-3, not to mention equipped with GT-3 seats, is not for everybody. But if you like a real sports car, this is the car to have.
My only comment is that the GT-3 should have come out as defined by the GT-3RS ie only one GT-3 street model (but without the street racer graphics, that could have been a paint option).

2300 miles since delivery Sep 2nd. Daily driver.
Phenomenal - replaced seats with gt3 seats, perfectly usable every day and a pure sports experience.
I have the full leather interior and want for nothing as far as comfort and usability. All one really needs is the a/c option make it suitable for use every day.
One caveat is that I am in FL where there is no snow and the roads are very smooth, I imagine it might be a slightly different perspective up north.
enjoy

It's been cold and crappy up here. I removed my wiper's for weight savings since I don't drive it in the rain....
Just kidding
