Default GT3 production/delivery dates slipping?

Picked this rumor up off another board, who knows if it's true. If you have one on order, check your production date - someone claimed that their Sept production was now scheduled for Dec.

If this is true, I'm really glad I took one that was here vs. waiting for my December production. I'll be curious to know why though...

If you're talking about the comments on Rennteam it was the GT3RS orders that seem to be delayed.

Further down in the thread there's mention of a regular GT3 clubsport delayed as well if I'm not mistaken...

The GT3 Clubsport delay comment was added after I read that thread. So far those are the only posts on delays and no details on why the delay. My allocation is for March production so it's still at the ACPORD status so no clue there.

Bob: I don't think that rumor is correct -- Viken had a September production GT3, and it was produced as scheduled.

LOL! That's why we call these rumors. I am still waiting for people to start posting facts.

My car, an Oct 1st completion with an expected Nov 15 delivery, is also on schedule.

Just wondering about your ridiculous post regarding the 997. It just seems to me that you are trying to enflame the board...Just my observation...

Interesting point, and I would really like to understand how this works. In terms of my ordered car, I spec'd out the car on an order form, my sales guy tells me it is a March build date (this was late July). In September he tells me a slot opened up and I have a September build date and to plan for November delivery. I called him last week to check on the status and he tells me it is an October build date. I have a copy of the form order accepted by Porsche. I would really like to know how to get more definitive information about the status..

bill, your sales guy is probably telling you just what PCNA's computer is telling him. Nobody really knows, not even the factory, I think. Add a month or two to anything your dealer says to avoid being disappointed.
