Default Dyno pull question

I had my GT2 on a dyno recently and the guy went past rev range 2 on mine for a fraction of a second. My range 2 count went from 4888 to 4943. Not a huge deal as I don't plan to sell the car any time soon but it wasn't what I expected because it reset my prior rev 2 range hits from well over 500 hrs ago from prior owners to recent. I've never hit rev 2 myself on it.

Did the guy make a mistake running up that high or is that to be expected with dyno runs that they test the power band up that high?

Not an issue. Mine gets run to 7500 on a regular basis and my range 2s are maxed at 65535. Stock redline on a 6GT2 is 6750 and Range 2 is tripped at 7250. Even with stock internals it's no big deal. We've dynoed my car countless times over the years and it's always run all the way to the limiter at 7500.
