997 GT3 Rear Toe Link to Replace 996 GT3 Rear Toe Link - Experience Anyone?
Porsche has superseded the 996 Rear Toe Link which is known to introduce rear end "wiggle" with a 997 part. I know there are aftermarket replacements available from a number of sources, but has anyone replaced their 996 Rear Toe Link with the 997 part? I haven't heard concerns about 997 GT3 Rear Toe Link, but others may have.

I don't think I was clear. I am not worried whether the part in interchangeable, but whether the 997 GT3 part that supercedes the 996 is less likely to introduce the rear end "wiggle" that the original 996 GT3 part did. Does someone have experience with the 997 part on the 996 and improved performance? And if not, does a 997 GT3 have the same "wiggle" as the 996 GT3 - I thought not, but want to confirm.

You need to adjust the rear toe setting so that it is toe'd in slightly. You can adjust this with the eccentric with in stock setup or if you go to aftermarket monoball toe links also you can replace the eccentric with lockout bolt. The hardware is the same, the problem when you have wiggle is the same. Monoball toe link will not deflect changing the rear geometry under load.
Hope this helps.
