WTB: OEM GT3 Car Cover

If anyone has one sitting collecting dust, let me know. Thanks.

I have a brand new one.

Are these still available from dealers? Price?

Not sure if they are still available ... Friend of mine had 2 and never used the one that was at his house. His gt3 stayed at the track.

Seems like you track your car, if you consider upgrading to RS wing just buy a cup cover. It fits great on 6.3s with big wing! And will of course work on stock wing!

I found a few on Ebay, bought one, but not OEM. They pretty much fit over the ironing board. Note to self: next time, make sure they have mirror "ears" for best fit.

Yes, you can purchase these covers from dealers. They are pretty expensive, but nice and soft material. Since I have an OEM RS Wing I purchased the 997 GT3 RS cover from Suncoastparts.com for $285 and it works well for the 6GT3.

$389 for the 6gt3 cover. That's kinda pricy.

That is one of the reasons I purchases a 997 cover because of the price for the 996. It works fine.

I bought a GT2 car cover OEM for mine - as Suncoast said the GT3 covers don't fit that well. I'm very glad I did now that I have an RS wing on it.

I just bought another one on eBay - this one has Mirror Pockets (I call them "ears") so the fit will be much better, more secure. The first one went over to the C2 as its OEM cover developed a rip on Saturday (I got 3 years out of it). I was pretty impressed with the quality - but I had to sift though several pages before I found one I like (most would be fine for a Pontiac, but not what I'd put on our cars).

After I sold my 944 Turbo S and bought my GT3 I found a leftover nice quality cover for the Turbo (canvas with a soft inside). I washed it and was going to sell it but just for grins I tried it on the Gt3. I was surprised at the fit - snug but not difficult to apply or remove. The mirror ears are almost in the exact right spot, but it wouldn't work on a car with an RS wing.
