My Fuchs need refinished after only 17 years of service--I am having anguish. Perhaps we can get a class-action lawsuit going?

The wiring in my 23 year old 928 is giving me bucket loads of mental anguish. So I'm going to sue Porsche, because they designed it, Bosch because then make a lot of the components. The guy I bought the car from, because he must have known about the wiring nightmares and also my local porsche dealer for quoting me a huge amount to sort it our. The, with the money I get as compensations, I'm gonna buy a new GT2.

I've heard they are fairly low in the anguish causing tables.

Oh, wait a minute.

Maybe that's not right......

But serious, suing over paint?!? If the car is causing so much anguish, give it to me. I'm sure I could bear the pain

I'm bummed out about the amount of depreciation I've taken because I have bought too many P-cars over the last few years. Maybe I ought to sue Porsche for making too many cars.

Yep, a joke. Makes about as much sense as pain and anguish over a defective rear wing.

Was it my understanding that the wing was held by the police for questioning about 3 unsolved homicides?...

0396,

To tell you the truth, if they do decide to give you what they say is "factory painted" replacement, most likely all they are really going to do is get a wing, send it to the guy that does there local paint fixing and have him paint it and hand it to you and say it's factory painted.

You are much better off taking it in yourself that way they'll be able to get a perfect match on the color and such. You are blowing this way out of proportion man, it is common to have this done. You will not be losing points in your "porsche parade" and will not lose resale value as long as it's an OEM part. Most of those concours cars you see have had some touchups done on them, it's nearly impossible to own a flawless car, it just doesn't happen (and when it does it's not fun because the guys never drive them)

This is really sad, that people can be so sue happy! I think that soon2be has the best idea.

As for your pain and suffering, well we all can't afford your car, so maybe I should sue you, 0396, for pain and suffering you are causing me for not being able to afford your car!

Let's get a good perspective on this: A car is NOT mint, the moment is is boxed up and shipped to another destination; several cars get little dents and scrapes during this process. My first Porsche had the doors repainted over here, because the car was scraped during shipping! And then to add insult to injury, a car is NO LONGER new the second you buy it, and drive it off the lot! That is when the car immediately depreciates the biggest hit.

So, get the wing fixed, and quit crying over it, for crying out loud! First day I had my '95 Corvette, I scratched the very pointy nose on it! OOPS! What did I do? Pulled a black sharpie out of my purse, and just blackened it in; no one EVER noticed!

This is very very common, alot of cars arrive w/ problems already that the dealer fixes there.

Also, just FYI, most manufacturers allow 2-5 defects in the paint and still sell them.
