Now my headers have arrived The seller says the headers have been mounted to a 997.2 GT3, anyone know if the part number is correct, 997.113.131.90?

Reviving this old thread.

Does anyone know if 997 GT3 headers will fit 996 GT3 with OEM stock mid and rear section?

I assume this is in reference to aftermarket headers as I can't understand why someone might want to go through two sets of cats on the way out of the car?

I am fairly certain the answer is still no. Every 996 install I've seen using OEM 997 GT3 stuff uses the whole system, or side deletes.

edit: wrong flanges anyway.

Brontosaurus is correct. Once you go with the 997 headers (which bolt right up), you either have to custom fab the rear section or use all 997 parts (with bypass pipes since the 997 side mufflers won't fit If I recall correctly. Do it...one of the best mods you can do on the 996's. I've done it to both my 996 gt3's. Not only do you make a bit more power, but the throttle response is much improved. Plus, it sounds so much better than the 996 set up (and I tried many). Then of course is the weight reduction. Only downsides is it is a bit more drone with the side muffler bypass pipes, and you loose the "oem" look if you do a center exit like I did. But i love it. you can see pics on my instagram page.
