My GT3 SOLD!!
SOLD, Now I really...
D..n! I feel like S..T!!
Just back from picking up a set of OEM GT3 wheels from mooty to be part of restoring my GT3 to near-stock for trade-in. On the way back, got this rock in my gut as I realized how close I am to turning my car over to a dealer who will turn it over to whomever. Just churns my gut.
I know it's a piece of iron, but it's a piece of iron that's part of my family. Been part and parcel of me since Jan '05. If the next owner isn't from here (or similar forum), probably, won't appreciate the pinned coolant pipes, the RSS rear end bits to tighten things up, the more solid shifter cables, .. Of course, the new owner won't have the opportunity to appreciate the cf RS wing, the cf mirrors, or the cf airbox (but, maybe, someone here will).
But what bothers me most of all, the new owner may not honor the car by tracking it. IT NEEDS THE TRACK!! I know, many do not, but that's their loss.
I do not want to trade it in. I want to know it's going to a knowledgeable owner. SOMEONE MAKE ME A REASONABLE OFFER AS-IS. SAVE ME FROM ALL THE WORK OF TAKING IT BACK.

Thanks for the vent

Totally get it Joe. If I didn't love my 7GT3 so much, I'd sell it and move back to a SY 6GT3! I miss mine every day and regret selling it to this day. I'm not sure why it hasn't been snatched up yet, especially at your price with all the overpriced (IMHO) 70K+ examples advertised. I'd be curious what the REAL market it for these cars.

Super sweet ride
Amazingly tight and tasteful set-up on that GT3, man. Pride of ownership is clear and evident.
Giving her to the dealer is a shame for all the reasons you mentioned.
Hopefully, a Rennlister will step forward and claim that beauty....SOON. I wish it could be me. Unfortunately, selling my 996tt wouldn't bring in enough cash for the swap...which I would gladly do...if I thought it would. Just don't tell her I said so.

Hope that you found an owner worthy of a SY beauty! Enjoy your new girl.
