Default Cool Carbon pads.... going PFC 08/11

Anyone have experience with Cool Carbon "S/T" brake pads? (stock system 350mm/350mm discs)
Looking for a decent street/track pad that doesn't break the budget ATM...
Absolutely hate the Stoptech "Street Performance" pads I hastily installed during steel brake conversion, so little friction/bite that balance is unbelievably skewed to the front...
TIA,
Rob

I've used CCs on my 996TT and although hey worked well on he street they quickly met their match on the track- would not advise for tracking. I'm using PFC08 F/B on my 350/350 and really like them for track. They are also quiet in the street so I'm just leaving them in place. I ran the PFC01 pads later on the 6TT and they also worked well but not as kind on the rotors.

Total garbage. Tried CCs 3 years ago. Worked ok on the street but juddered bad at the track and the pads basically disintegrated after 2 days. Stay away from these. Stay with OEM pads if you want a dual purpose street / track pad. Go with PFC 08/01s if you want a track pad that works reasonably well on the street.

Default Cool carbon

Cool Carbon manufactures nothing..... It is a marketing name only.
The pads are being made or were being made by a friction company
In the Akron/Canton area. Back in the 90s Cool Carbon had big Ads
In Panorama. All of a sudden they disappeared but appear to Be trying for a comeback.
As Powderhound said.....if you are going to the track with street use consider PFC 08s they work well.

Thanks all, and PM returned Clark
Good to finally have a thread/real-world reviews of the CC pads...
Powdrhound, are you suggesting a 08 front and 01 rear setup, or suggesting a 08 OR 01 setup all-round?
Thanks again guys!

thanks! I do typically prefer an aggressive rear bias, but maybe the 08's all-round (as Clark suggested I go with) might allow better trail braking into the corner.... probably just over thinking this, anything will be a MASSIVE improvement over my current pads, should've kept my stock pads...

just an update,
Ordered the 08/11 combo(01 no longer stocked/produced) from Clark at Apex Performance, AWESOME service if anyone is in the 'market'....
Will update when the pads arrive/test-drive.
Thanks for the recommendations.
Cheers,
Rob

You will like them.

Then you will want the 997GT3 Master Cylinder upgrade Pwdrhound convinced me to do.

installed/bedded/couple test drives today...definitely a big improvement, still could use more rear torque at street temps, won't know 'real' balance until next trackday.
If balance doesn't get better at track temps, 997GT rear calipers will be the next upgrade.

HOLY HELL are the 11's loud!!! lol
