You have to get a 6cup rear bumper for center exit or cut out your bumper or buy a 2002 996 rear bumper from a salvage yard for cheap and cut out the center and u can block out side exits with wire mesh painted black. Getty design is a cheaper option as well for cup rear bumper. mike

If so what's the advantage? Shorter piping overall?

Cost is probably comparable between the 2 options and so are the hp gains. I really like the center exhausts look and it isn't to loud with very minimal drone between 2600 to 2900 rpm.
