Default Neighbor backs into car; rear bumper help/suggestions....Pleas

So finally had some decent weather and had the car parked in the driveway to wash her. Neighbor backed out of her driveway and hit the rear bumper (just damage on bumper). Probably will need the cover replaced.

So what are my options???

I have always admired the 997 GT3 and GT3 RS bumpers.

I found this:

Or would changing it from stock be a bad idea?

Keep it stock. 997 aftermarket is really ugly IMO on the 996. Mike

It might just be me, but I wouldn't, I think it looks tacky when you try to do the whole update thing, if you wanted a 997 you'd get one..

The only bar I would swap for is a 6 cup with centre exit exhaust.

The 2 things I dislike on the car is rear bumper and exhaust sound.

If I went w/ a center exit set up, what would be my exhaust options?

996 Cup, 997 GT3 Muffler and headers and then aftermarket options.

I agree with both your points!

7gt3 headers, side muffler delete pipes, and oem rear center muffler if your best bet.

You'll need the bracing that the center muffler hangs off of too.

This is the way I went and didn't look back. Picks up 10 to 12 rwhp and drops around 40# off the rear. Sounds good but not to loud. Around 95db on sound meter at Roebling Road. It does drone a little between 2500 to 2800 rpm but not really bad.

A set of used oem 7.2 gt3 RS headers/cats just sold on ebay last week for $102.

I should mention, I do not need to worry about emission testing or sound level as I do not track.
