The 4th GT3
I am pleased to have acquired a 2004 GT3, the third 996 3 I've had the pleasure of owning. This one is familiar to some of you who have hung out here for a while...it is one of the ex-Thusly GT3 RS replicas built by Premier in Las Vegas. It is the most fun-to-drive one of them all, and maybe as exciting as the 2011 RS I had as well. When I found out about it, through the High Marques dealer in Morristown, NJ, I knew that the previous owner, a well-known collector who lives 5 minutes away from me in Yardley Pa, was the kind of guy you'd want to buy a car from. It has only 15,000 miles and is in absolutely pristine condition. So nice, I will feel guilty about taking it to Summit Point next month but somehow, I think I will overcome the guilt. Some of you know that Thusly spared no expense in recreating an RS, and while I was skeptical, the car is magic and feels pure. All the real suspension bits, the LWFW, the revised gearing, and the nicely aggressive exhaust combined with the visuals to make for a stunning drive. This car has quite a different personality from the others I've had.
Here is a link to photos of the car on the High Marques website. Thanks to John Vogt for a smooth transaction and to my awesome friend Jorge Figueroa for putting the pieces together, as well as to Fred (Thusly) for having the guts and imagination to have this car built. I have never spoken to him but kudos to a fellow Rennlister.

Congrats. Love the 6rs- if they had been sold here in the US - I be a long term ie forever owner of the best iteration of the gt3 series. Have a question- what are the exact differences between vanilla 6 and rs. I know front bumper is different with the rs vents and central radiator is tilted to make full use of rs vents/ lwf-rs pulley/ suspension pieces- what are the pieces?/ did not know the gearing is different as well as exhaust- is that different from regular 6? What else. God I would like one. Mike

Guys, I am going to see if Premier will be able to supply me with the build specs for the car and I will post. Yes, the subframes as well as most of the suspension was apparently changed out to the ROW RS bits. And the plastic rear window....yes it has that too!

To Mooty, the ruler of Hades. Three X5's as DD's. One was a pile of crap, the next was great but was wrecked by a little old lady trying to imitate Senna. I decided I liked E53's better than newer ones, so the latest is a 4.8is. Nasty bitch.
Your humble servant, etc.

I knew of this car before Thusly sold it. It has an extensive list of items that Premier completed. Thusly probably still has a list of what was done. I am surpised that Thusly did not pick it back up. He has been looking for another GT3 to make some of us GT3 guys have to work even more to keep him in sight.
