From a post awhile ago he was disgusted with the whole coolant fitting brewha and the thought that Porsche would get a pass based on the time limits from the original production date of each vehicle. Also we know class action lawsuits are all about the lawyer fees and not justice for the plaintiff's

It does kinda suck, just hope it never injures anyone if & when failure happens. 996 GT3 is from what I see a long or forever keeper car for most so over the course of time say 10-? years it is still low cost great car to own. You would be doing engine rebuilds in most American cars.

I'm still here. My legal source told me not to get my hopes up too much. It's a real issue that I believe will come to some reimbursement down the road. Regardless of the NHTSA / PNA issue. Track guys should get it fixed for their safety and others. I'm surprised the PCA National safety chair person has not taken a position. I guess she can't till Porsche does - but she had her fittings welded on their Turbo The actual number of cars possibly effected is 10,000- the IMS thing was 60,000- so even if a higher percent fail it's not a huge number.

Far as #s go, maybe they are looking at it as many more cars sold that have IMS than the # of GT3/TT cars on the road but that's just my guess. Going to be a long winter here in the northeast so I am getting them welded some time in the next few months. Motor is coming out for a complete going over anyway & my only expense related to the issue is the welding and I am fortunate to have a very close friend that is certified and the #1 welder where he works.
