I'm looking at a 2004 RHD 6RS with VIN: WP0ZZZ99Z4S6970XX
I couldn't find a 6RS or a normal GT3 last 4-digit of VIN starts with "7".

The car looks genuine but the VIN got me so confused.
Anyone can tell if it's true?

I would have bought it if it's 1xxx. all the vins i saw from the various websites were range from 09xx to 2xxx including RoW and NA 6RS.

I suspect the car's VIN is not correct. Any ideas what VIN a 6RS should have?

It should be 692001 and upwards.

I have a LHD 996 GT3 RS with vin WPOZZ99z4S691xxx. Do not have any info on the '7' question.

Not sure why but the last cars built had "7" in the VIN.

Not that I can show you. There are at least seven cars in Sweden with a 7 VIN though.

If you want proof just go to your friendly dealer and enter the VIN into PET. That will show exactly what car it is.

I agree with 'Anders' about checking the VIN with a Porsche Dealership.

I have seen a couple VINs for LHD 2004 996 GT3 RS and they were ...4 S 6 9 1 x x x
