Default Battery (lighter weight)

Is anyone using a lighter weight battery that does NOT hook the car up to a trickle charger when idle? I would love to run a lighter weight battery, but I sometimes won’t take the car out for 2 weeks and I am concerned the charge will run down without hooking the battery up to a charger… which I don’t want to do. As always, any suggestions or feedback is much appreciated.

Best,
Ian

Ian - I recently got an Odyssey 925, and read a bunch of feedback before buying it. Supposedly, it can hold a charge for 2-3 weeks in a parked GT3. That's close to my normal interval between drives, so I'm hoping I won't need a trickle charger under normal circumstances. I haven't put it in the car yet, so I don't know for sure. I plan to get a trickle charger for those times when I'm out of town and not driving the car for more than 3 weeks or so.

I leave mine(voltphreaks) sitting for 2-4 weeks normally, but I pull the alarm fuse as well.
