Default Differential fluid

Hello could someone recommend a good heavy duty differential fluid for track use. I have an 04' gt3 with a new ring and pinion. It is in the northwest so ambient temperature is not mich of an issue. Thanks!

Have you not searched? We seem to discuss this almost weekly.

With that said.....There are 2 main transaxle fluids we use here.....Porsche OEM stuff for street use and Delvac for track or mix use. Changing more frequently is more important than anything.

You might want to read this thread titled:

OEM Fluids vs. Non-OEM Fluids

*sorry do not know how to link it. It is on the 996 GT3 forum and is near the top at the moment.

No one using LN Engineering? It was recommended by my mechanic when I first purchased the car.

I've been trying to locate the delvac fluid in Washington state but have been unsuccessful so far. Does anybody happen to know a vendor in Washington or the west coast? Thanks.

Your local truck stop should have it- try a T/A truck stop with a service center.

I found it in 1 quart bottles. just make sure you get Delvac 1, not the dino Delvac version.
