How to mount/pass ext microphone to license plate

Hi guys, id like to install my external microphone to my rear license plate to get some better sound quality video.

Anyone has a DIY to help me acheive that. Like, where to pass the wire through the car.

thanks a lot

Had a mic mounted inside the engine compartment once... great engine sound with ZERO wind noise.
Wire was run from inside to outside back to inside, with duct tape securing it. Could use painter's tape for easier cleanup after.

Seb check this out ... Not sure you need to mount to plate to get great wind free noise
But it does sound great if you can!

Just place the microphone under the passenger seat. That works for me. +One above sun visor-

2 Sony remote microphones with a plug adapter from Radio Shack. It makes it a mono input but sounds fine. I got the microphones from Chase Cam. My unit is actually a very early Alpha unit from them.
