A guy called Richard Long did it over here in the UK back in 2002 to his Speed Yellow Mk1 GT3.
The conversion was carried out by Paragon :

This was done 10 years ago to a GT3 in the UK as well.
It started with regular GT3 fitted with a 2001 Cup rear wing, and then the owner went for a full GT3R bodywork uppgrade (the work was carried out by Paragon)
IMHO, getting the Cup front bumper and wing is cool, but going more extreme is not worth it.

I'm starting the phase 1 project this winter;
donnor; 996 GT3 MK 2 to become a 997 streetable RSR
-Getty Design 997 GT3R FRP and Carbon parts
-OEM 997 wide rear quarter panels
-race center locks
-OEM motorsports 2008-2010 RSR front bumber
-short ratio tranny & cup cables
-Roll cage
To mention only the highlights of the full project and we will archive with before and after evolution.
