Will post when final exhaust is finished and tested on car.

So this is the test unit and final will be made of different material ?

Can someone shoot me Charles information (Is he separate from ASP now) ? One I get my suspension knocked out this is next on the mods list.

my center exit 996 gt3 exhaust by charles dundon
321 stainless, no cats, burns mufflers, 20 hp bolt on and no loss anywhere with no tune, roughly 30lbs total
Car was sold RLer 007DT who likely has better video
Videos suck as they were taken with a point and shoot camera but you will get the idea.
We have no sound restriction so quiet was not on the list of key factors during the design and build.
he is a custom builder and will ask you what you want and design from there... if you want it quieter, he can do that... etc etc.
I have seen the dyno sheet on the 996 builds that are in progress right now (pic posted by 4porsch previously) and it is solid gains from bottom to top.

Hey, that's my car! I took that video from my I-phone and was "driving" the car during that sequence.

Looking forward to Charles' final product just like the rest of you. I'm enjoying being involved in the development exercise, and to be doing this properly, with actual measurements on a dyno. Charles made several configuration changes that day to optimize the output. I drove it from the dyno shop to Charles' shop with that exhaust, and it felt strong and sounded great. The gains are noticeable and remarkable. I previously had an AWE system on that car which had a nice sound but produced virtually no gain over stock.

Cool. Thanks for your help in this build also. This is going to be great and done right.
Can not wait....but I have, and it will be worth it.

From the video sounds quieter than the system Charles made for my '04 GT3. Based on the length of those mufflers, seems to be the case. This is going to be good, worth the wait!

Wow, I had the opportunity to get in on this exhaust but passed out of concern for DB's.
may have made a mistake, sounds awesome that is for sure. Def like the gains as well.

I guess it is too late to jump back on the band wagon now!!!!

Stephen,

If you're still interested, talk to Charles. There may still be opportunties.

The first chart below shows the dyno run comparison of my car with a stock exhaust and with Charles' dual outlet X-pipe design. Note the gains are very significant across the entire rev range. At 6048 RPM, the gain is 27 hp. That's almost 10%. And there's nothing better than a broad, usable, mid-range gain.

The second chart below, which was a photograph from the display screen of the dyno, shows essentially that same comparison (stock in green vs. Charles' X-pipe in blue) but also shows a trace of my car with an AWE system (in red). Note that the AWE system is almost indistinguishable from stock. It has a few hp gain for a narrow range from about 5500-6000 RPM, but actually shows small losses at the low end relative to stock.

Glad I bought in early The second they are in Joe get on up to the shop so we can both drop 75 pounds. Net gain is about 18% if you factor in hp/weight improvement.

Loving this, what's the ballpark cost of such a system?
