Default GT3 calipers and pads to suit

Guys,

When you convert from PCCB to steel rotors what pads are you putting in the rear, are they the same as the normal GT3/turbo steel pad or are they a larger pad due to the 350mm rotor?

Also I am looking for a new or excellent condition red (steel) right hand front 6 piston caliper, so if anybody has one for sale please PM me.

Thanks

I use the 997 GT3 rear steel discs on my 966 PCCB car & 997 spec rear pads as they are both 350mm.

I don't think the pads are different sizes for PCCB vs. steel; only the compounds vary. I have converted to steel rotors and I run the stock, steel rotor, street pads when I am not driving on track.

When on track, I run the stock 996 GT3 pads sizes from PFC

Are you sure you're looking for a red caliper? PCCB calipers are Yellow.

So just to confirm the stock steel 996 GT3 rear rotor on the 04 cars are 350mm and I jusy need GT3 steel pads?

Basically I am upgrading the brakes on a 996tt and I am keeping them steel, I need a RH front 6 piston caliper plus I am looking at buying a set of PCCB rear calipers and painting them red so I can run 350mm rear 997t discs.

No, pretty sure that the rears on the steel 996 GT3 are 330mm. The fronts are 350mm.

I also 'think' 997.1 GT3 uses 350mm front and rear.

So what is the equivalent steel pad that will fit the GT2 caliper?

Mk I gt3 had 330mm rears, MkII have 350mm front and rear steel.

I see that the bias must be different on PCCB cars, they have 4 x 28mm pistons, where the steel has 2 x 28mm and 2 x 30mm, yet the master cyclinders are the same.
