I used to use Pagid, exclusively, for many years. They are a little tricky to bed "just right", but when they were, I REALLY liked them. Some people did not bed them properly, and had bad experiences with them.
I've been using PFC now for 3 years or so, and they work well without the bedding issue. They cost about the same. They have comparable friction range offerings, which seemed to have the same rotor wear characteristics, although my experience was with different cars. They lasted about the same number of cycles for me. Each have their advocates, and as you see, their critics.

Dell, you had me at "no bedding"

Just didn't realize the shortcomings. As I said, will try these next.

Chuck, thanks for that.

Again RL

Might give these a try based on all the positive feedback in these pages.

Now, about the "Pagid is crap", a bit extreme, maybe. I mean, wasn't this the golden standard up until... uh, now?
I never had a problem with Pagid pads. As noted if properly bedded in they work fine. Obviously many race teams use pagids. I switched to PFC at the time mainly because I put PFC rotors (the dimpled ones) on the Fr to get longer rotor life due to the cracking with the Cup cross drilled rotors. At the time Pagids did not fit the PFC rotor/hat correctly.
None the less, have been very happy with the PFC pads. The 97s took a little getting used to a first, as they have very different feel and characteristics versus the RS19/29's I was using. But they worked great.
Looking forward to trying the 08s....

I am a huge fan of PFC, and IMO the 06's offer the best all around combination if bite, ability to modulate a lot, great under trail braking, longevity, and rotor wear. Chuck nails it.

Pagids work well if bedded propery (a big if you don't have with PFC) but are worthelss after about 50% wear. Whereas PFC can be run down to the backing plate with no degradation of performance.

^^ Yeah, that's what those Florida Mancation Maniacs seemed to say as well, that they are good to the last drop.

Unfortunately, proper bedding can't be done on a hot race track, so I've been doing it on the country roads around here. A bit risky, in more ways than one.

We have 01, 06 and 08 in stock both front and rear. We also have the front pads in 08 compound 19MM thickness, which can only be used with the slotted 32MM rotors (this is the real race setup). The 17MM pads can be used with the 34MM (stock Porsche steel thickness rotors).
For anyone ready to switch to the PFC slotted front rotors we have both the rotors and hats in stock.

Trust me on this

PFC 08

You know how many track miles Trakcar and I have on them

Good all the way to the backing plate.....same feel

These pads were on my car for a 2:20 at Sebring and the only indication they were gone was the terrible squeal during warm up laps

Pagid is garbage, once you run 08 you will be hooked for life

I have stock

Francois:
For the front on your car, Performance Friction part number PF0991 is identical to the Pagid U2707 and OE pad shape.

For the rear, PF0776, matches Pagid U2405. 08 Front, 06 rear would be a nice combination on your car.
