Does Sharkwerks have a 3.9 offering for the 996?
If so, are the price and performance similar to the 3.9 upgrade for the 997.1?

You can do the 3.9 (or 4.0 or 4.2, for the matter) on any GT3.

The 3.9 performance is not the same on a 996. 997 has better cylinder heads, intake, exhaust.

Really, the thing to do is:

1. Wait till your engine explodes
2. Buy RS 4.0 crate engine

We do indeed... we did it on ours and another one for Canada recently:

Yeah, I know I'm a day late, but I swear that these were MY numbers when reading the first post by the op. $40 - $45. Too bad, but the mileage kills it. Still a very solid car, and they don't make'em any more.

Park it? I'd strip it and treat that Kinky Kylie as she deserves

Trust me, I am sitting here thinking about how I can pull it off without the wife divorcing me. Right now is not a good time for big purchases in my household........

I can get a SM by the wife, but a GT3 would require a whole 'nother level of splainin' to do
