alignment question
i use my 6 gt3 50 50 track and street
after my last track event (wgi)my drivers rear outside tire was corded
it was probably a little under inflated (mpsc the manual says 32 hot and that is what i used ) and i will probably raise this but i also asked my shop to increase he camber
what they did was
front left right
camber -1.6 -1.6
caster +2.4 +2.4
toe 0
rear
camber -2.0 -2.0
total toe +1.2 +1.2
i know here are many posts and threads on alignment and i have read them all
my question is about the specific numbers above do they sound ok
i have an event coming up in a couple of weeks so i have not tracked yet with these settings
thanks

rkirshner,
Not knowing what level you are driving at or the number of sessions the tires had, if you are cording the outside you don't have enough camber.
First, what doesn't look good is the rear toe figure. Rear toe should never be positive. You should have negative 2 to 3 mm per side.
Do a search on "Kussumaul" for the 996gt3 forum. There are quite a few threads on the subject.
Cheers

I assume that you haven't rotated your struts or added shims.
Ideally you would want more camber in the front.
The caster is obviously a mistake in printing.
The rear toe is 2,4 mm total. That is low, unless you are running an upgraded suspension.

thanks for the feedback
i did type in the wrong caster settings it is +8.4 +8.4
i understand that the rear toe should be in is it correct that + toe is in ?
the shop i took the car to did not want to get into shims etc for the front end camber so they maxed out the front end as easily as they could same with back end
but these camber settings are reverse of what i usually see on this site . usually the front camber is more negative than the rear so if i track this car (wgi) will it feel ok and be safe
parenthetically i can look at 996flt6 avatar all day

Race Car
My setup with MPSC's recently was:
Front -2.9 camber / -2.9 camber ( rotated and shimmed)
toe 0 toe
Rear -2.2 camber / -2.5 camber
toe .24 degrees per side
We couldn't get more than -2.2 on the drivers rear, that rear was def. wearing the outside more than the rest of the tire. the corner with -2.5 was wearing much more evenly. I actually think based on what I'm seeing for wear that my car needs even more camber all around. Since I still very much drive it as a street car though I don't want any more of a compromise than what I've currently got.

Your camber up front should have more camber with respect to rears. Probably doesn't matter much for street but for track fronts do most of the major work ie turning braking so u need as much contact patch. But there are so many variables mainly how u drive on track so u probably need a pyrometer to check tire temps. Mike
