I changed the oil at 499.7 miles today. With the engine fully warmed up, we get ready for our 1st full rpm pull. By the time we get to a straight stretch of road, the odometer reads 500 miles. We couldn't have timed it any better.
The car violently breaks loose the partially aired down 315 R comps around 7k in 1st gear, even with the brand new cup lsd plates. This thing is FAST. Logged some data with durametric in preparation for dyno tuning at GIAC. Can't wait.
Also got the cup splitter on today in my original recipe (push pins + double sided tape + silicon sealing bead). GMG dog bones are on. All that's left is solid caster blocks, and an alignment!

Hey Serge - thanks for the details and the pics - any more video/sounds clips ready yet? Would love to hear the full-tilt shift from 3rd gear up! thanks!

My buddy is going to let me borrow his Contour camera, and I just bought a good sennheiser shotgun microphone for my DSLR. So I hope to get some good edited video in the coming week. Thus far, every video I've attempted to make does the car no justice.
Brad, I'm going to hit the track hard this coming year. Speaking of eating dust - remember the first time you instructed for me at Laguna??
Anyways, remember when I said I wasn't going to do anything to the suspension? Well, I guess I caved into the mod bug harder than even I imagined!
I borrowed a new tool my friend bought at SEMA this year. It makes replacing bushings a breeze - I HIGHLY recommend it.
Car goes up in the air and the rear control arms are pulled.
Using the tool.
It was a chore getting the OEM rear bushings out. I ended up using a punch and hammer to curl the flange of the bushings. This way I could use the aluminum control arm as a bearing surface and press the bushings out with the above tool.
Tarett rear monoballs.
The aftermath from the rear end.
Onto the front end...
I have enough room here to press out the caster bushings without removing the control arms.
Tarett monoballs up front too.
And, I wash my car for the first time in what feels like forever.
Tomorrow Ron is going to help me setup my rear bumpsteer and then the car goes off for alignment on Tuesday.
Ok. That's it. This is the last series of mods. No more.

Haven't touched the shocks/springs. I blame GMG - if I didn't go to their yard sale, I wouldn't have done anything to the suspension at all yet... But one things leads to another.

U mite want to look into that. I don't really know how much your car puts outs but with way you described its substantial. U need to at a minimum revalve and change to stiffer spring rates. I think as stock in track conditions it'll be a chore to navigate. U can fortify suspension this and that but if u retain stock revalve and spring- other then straigtaway speed which is predicated on exit on corner- u would have a problem. Mike
