Default GMG WC 996GT3

My GMG WC 996GT3 is finally finished and will be delivered tomorrow. The car looks amazing and I cannot wait to drive it after all the mods.

Incredible job by Fabryce and the staff at GMG. A fantastic company to deal with and I am very impressed with how the car turned out. Thank you GMG!

Should have my GT3 Buckets, Schroth harnesses, along with track wheels and tires in the next few weeks, and I will be ready for Road America!

Looks great. Is there some sort of "build sheet" that makes them call it a WCGT3? Trying to understand what the WC denotes.

All that blue really pops!

No adjustable drop links on sway bar? I thought that was a neccesary item so no pre load on bars after corner weighing etc.

Maybe it's not done yet? I can't imagine a shop like GMG would fit a set of ARB's with stock links.

I think WC denotes "World Challenge"

Might want to check if links are binding on the rear bar. Friend had same issue.

Have fun.

p.s. Dell check your email soon.

Do u have details on the rear gmg bar ie thickness. I don't think many 6gt3's have changed out the rear swaybar. Let us know how it rides. Mike

Thank you LVDell. The GMG World Challenge Level II package consists of:
GMG RSR Roll bar
GMG WC Sport cat section with 200 cell metal matrix catalyst
GMG WC Sport mufflers
GMG WC Sway bar kit
GMG bump and toe steer kit front and rear
GMG Dog bone kit
GMG Adjustable Thrust arm bushings
GMG WC battery tray with optima battery
Corner Balance, Drop to Euro Spec. and Competition Alignment

The person who sold me the car gave me the carbon splitter, and GMG made the RS wing and endplates.

I will check to see if the rear bar has any preload or not, but I recall reading that their 996 rear bars are made to use the standard Porsche drop links. Will be interesting to see.

The info below was taken directly from their web site:http://www.gmgracing.com/porsche_suspension.shtml

"We spent over two years of development work with our Speed World Challenge GT WC- 996 GT3 Cup cars and Eibach to develop the ultimate bolt on anti-roll bar upgrade for your 996GT3 and 996GT3 RS and 996GT3 CUP( can also be used on the 992C2). GMG Is proud to be the first tuner world wide to offer a complete bolt on anti-roll bar upgrade the GT3 and RS. Racing in the Speed GT series and running on a DOT R- Compound tire has allowed us to use the data and knowledge gained over the years and apply it to a street/track bolt on anti roll bar kit that improves the handling of your car, without costing thousands of dollars like the bladed racing versions that we run on our race cup cars.

Designed, developed and tested on our 996 GT3 WC street car, and made for GMG by Eibach, the World Challenge anti-roll bar features front and rear hollow tube anti-roll bars that are 5 way front and 4 way rear adjustable. The rear bar offers an increase in stiffness from 20 to 80 percent over the stock bar and the front bar offers an increase of 10-50 percent increase over the stock front sway bar. Complimented by urethane bushings these bars are a must have for anyone who is tracking their GT3 / RS or racing the 996GT3 CUP and simply wants to reduce the "push" that these cars exhibit during spirited driving and track use.

The GMG WC anti-roll bar kit is sold as a complete kit and is a true bolt on upgrade that requires no modifications to your vehicle and works with the standard sway bar drop links and dampers or any after market damper such as Moton , JRZ or Ohlins

Sold as front and rear set only.

Applications: MK1 and MK2 + 996 GT3 and GT3RS. Also fits all 996C2. Direct bolt on replacement part for the 996 GT3 CUP car as well.

*Designed to work with stock drop links- No need for rod end style drop links - No noise, No wear and no popping."

I had a chance to drive the car for a few hundred miles in Los Angeles before I dropped it off for the work, so I am very much looking forward to delivery tomorrow.

That CF splitter is stunning. I would definitely take off and replace for track days with a cup splitter.

Enjoy your newly reborn GT3

Looking good! Nice color too BTW, on the first shot of the rear suspension, looks like the brake pad wear cable holder popped out from its mount. 10 o'clock position, open "c" bracket... You might want to pop it back in, if not done already. Have fun!

I will head your advice for the track, as I would think the car may under steer a bit w/o the cup splitter considering it now has a much larger wing.
