Default 997 Shift Console Upgrade...

I know many use the 997 shift console in their 6GT3 as an upgrade, which gets a 15% reduction in throw or so.. but have you seen the new "GT3" version that has the metal bushings?? Does that mean that the 997.2 GT3 shifters now have the metal bushings?

I thought only the Cup shifter has the metal bushings? At $350, it is getting close to the Cup shifter price as well.

Yes, the 997 GT3 shifter has metal shift bushings.

Oh, okay.. I thought it is something new.. because in the past people have talked about the 997 shifter upgrade, and it has been the "regular" version (since the price mentioned has been under $200).. so I thought this new "GT3" option is new, as mentioned in the link...

But I guess it has been available.. !!

I wonder how it compares to the Cup shifter.. since the price is not far off.. !!

When you 'll stop asking questions about shifters and cables and just fit them? : )

I put the 'regular' 997 upgrade in mine--- works fine, nice improvement over the stock 996 unit. I think it's more than adequate unless you do a lot of track driving.

Ideally, I'd want a Cup shifter but also the 15% reduction in throw.. ha!

I can dream, can't I?!
