I'm new to the forum, just want to share pics of my 'new' ride. Hope to contribute to this forum in the future and appreciate the info I have gotten so far. Makes owning cars like this more enjoyable and cost efficient

hahaha, you guys notice my other cars and thanks for appreciating them too now i know im in the right company
@Gt9111 I love the defender, I have a 97 US version (NAS) hardtop, with 4.0 V8 and auto tranny. Great car to use for short trips, not the most comfy car but you know its special when your using it. Big plus is that my wife likes using it too. We have this law in our country that you cant use your car once a week during weekdays (depends on the ending number of your plates) so she uses it during the day she cant take her car.

I've been test driving the latest Defender 110 because my friend wants to purchase one. It's indeed a very agricultural trunk primarily for a select few who would enjoy driving and owning such an "analog" car in a digital world.
My friend is undecided whether to purchase a base model or a special edition model, which he and I believe Land Rover will be releasing several editions before production ends in 2012.
I think I am digressing from the main topic of your thread...

Since your based in HK, you might be able to get the Right hand drive only SVX or fire and ice editions, they are cool cars with nice recaro seats. Check those out

@mooty--thanks! Too bad you sold your m3...what color was it? As far as I know there is no Evo version here, but mine has 2.5l conversion with alphaN intake and euro close gear tranny etc

You know you can do that to the Mk1 yes? ("conversion with alphaN intake")
Awesome intake sound after installing the bmc cup filter and removing the maf.

We should create a 4 steps modification program for new gt3 owners and a sticky it.
STEP 1. Safety gear and seats
STEP 2. Tyres - wheels , suspension and brakes
STEP 3. Engine and gearbox & transmission
STEP 4. Lightweight parts
