holy cow you got a great deal! one thing I love about my GT2 is when you the tap roof theres a hollow "ping" sound because theres no sound insulation

Brass LSD = crap
One of the great mysteries of the world. Why Porsche didn’t use steel disks.

Difference between 6 and 7 was only the locking %.

A 2004 for $65k with no stories is a great deal - congrats - you will love that car, it never gets boring!!! One of 24 imported in 2004, very rare car.

The 6GT3 uses different gears inside the diff too, if I remember correctly. (remember comments made by GT Gear..)

I think the comments were that the ramp angles are different (locking ratio, as you mentioned) between the 6 and 7 GT3.. But the 6 also uses gears that's made differently. The 7 gears were made differently and some were found to be chipped under stress. Matt from GT Gears posted some pics..

6 GT3 and seven GT3 if they want to upgrade they just buy the cup disk set and are done.
