Seat bolt socket type?

Two quick questions.

What is the socket size/type for the seat bolts?

I'm assuming it is the same bolt for all the 996/986 cars correct?

Thanks!

ps. yes, there is something I don't know about these cars :) I've been using just a standard socket all these years but it "slips" a tiny bit and would prefer to finally have the proper socket.

Thanks John. Stupid follow-up question........ How are the sockets labeled? When I run to the auto parts store what size would I be looking for? Torx 10?

Just got back from the auto parts store and it was called a "star" socket E12. Thanks again for the help! I finally have the right socket for the seats after all these years :surr:

In europe we call them torx but you Americans have a thing for stars so it's no surprise. :-)

Yes, we are very backassward here :)

And who the hell came up with "standard" measurement system. Cuz it's oh so more easy to understand (detect sarcasm :) ) that the metric system and everything being in multiples of 10. :grr:

Very true, but no worries, you are ok! we all measure road tyres in inches  and for god's shake you could be driving on the left side of the road. :banghead:

oh, another measurement i dont understand.... "i'll buy you a round of beer" what is a "round" of beer??? i say this as a serious question. i dont know what a "round" of beer is.

but i do understand 34C though. no bigger no smaller, 34C demi is it.

A round of beer originates from people sitting in a round table and one of them orders beer for all. And says to the waiter bring us a round of beers! with his finger pointing to his friends and showing the circle around.

Really! :-)
