New GT3 owner- highest mileage in US?

RE: The Ebay car "never tracked", "serviced at dealer since new"
That's impressive for a GT3 with those miles. The tires and seat (including pssgr seat) wear seem to jive with the ad.
Can anyone shed light on where the GT3 3.6 engines fail, if and when they go? I'm getting the impression they're a different kettle of fish than the cup engines and hope its like Bruce Anderson once said with the (nikasil) 3.2's, which was something like ~"forever".
It may be too early for me to bite, but I may be back instructing/co-driving at WGI as soon as August.

I know......the s5 is b o r I n g.....When I goto the audi forum there are guys talking about how tight and refined the s5 is....it is a 60k slush barge
I drive 20k plus miles a year and hate to put a gt3 thru that.....that is 20k on the s5....plus the other cars

Daily or semi-daily drive the 997, drive the 996 on the track! The 997 GT3 is actually quite a bit more comfortable on the street. While the 997 is faster on the track, IMO, the 996 is a bit more "engaging". That may be code for "harder to drive fast", but it sure is fun!

mileage update
Been a busy and interesting year. Won a lot of NASA TT events in the car last summer. Had the coolant lines welded this winter and replaced coils and catalytic converters. Car still running strong at almost 96k.

Hello,
Just picked up what I believe to be the highest mileage GT3 in the country (81,xxx miles). It's mechanically excellent, aesthetically a little challenged. Car belonged to a good friend who had actually allowed me to drive it at a DE when it was new. Have lusted for it ever since and now it's MINE!!!
Maybe I've just gotten used to the crummy air/HP in Denver, but driving the GT3 in MN feels REALLY fast compared to my 996 C2. Will have to see how much worse it feels in the thin air of CO.
