The red one is also in the back of Panorama for sale. I have not seen an A/C delete GT3 for sale in the 3 years I've owned mine, now 2 popped up.

Question Manual Air Dials without AC Delete

I am sorry to bring back 1.5 year old topic...

Any way, have anyone try to install the manual dials without deleting AC? The AC on/off is a separate button and I am sure we can use one of the unused button to do the function.

Any input is appreciated.

Current owner of that car now. Happy to share. Interested to see if anyone else has an AC delete. From what I gather about 10 cars or so were ordered without it for US.

Where did you get the manual dials?

I know, I'm just wondering if I could get some so I can take my AC out and have those same dials.

I removed my A/C. It's a 25lb weight savings. Not sure what the benefit of the manual dials is. I kept the digital display in the car.

Default A/C Delete 996 GT3

I run water wetter (actually purple ice) in lieu of water since this is primarily a track car for me. Someone mentioned that this can be an issue running ac- risk of freezing?

Not looking to derail this discussion, but if it's an easy answer, just curious if anyone has heard of this and can confirm either way? If not will do more research.

Cheers

Matt

The engine coolant system is unconnected to to the a/c system. Whatever coolant you use in the engine will not affect the a/c system performance and vis-a-versa.

I have seen a red GT3 with AC delete at ebay in 12/2016. That's the only one I have seen so far.

There is a GT3 (996) here in South Florida that was ordered with A/C delete. On purpose. We laugh ourselves silly as we recall the owners' rationalization for doing so ("I saved 40/60/80 pounds, blah blah blah..") - Dude, lay off the pasta and you'll accomplish the same weight savings!

It gets as hot as beejesus down here, so no a/c - on purpose??? - in a car that is not 100% track toy??? NFW. Just sayin'

Yeah, it's white. Of course. That added 23 hp. BWAhahahahahahahahhahaah
