Default Clean the drains?

Dealer wanted to know if I would like them to "clean my drains" on the GT3. What drains? Don't have a sunroof or anything. I let them do warrantee work and I do the rest myself... are there some drains I should be cleaning?

Or were they just bored and looking for more work to do?

Thanks!

Technically speaking they are referring to your thingamajigs in the watchchamacallits in your doohickey. next they will be wanting to change your piston return springs and muffler bearings.

SHEESH. Good thing I told them "no thanks, I don't need that". Maybe I should have told them that I wanted them to do it while I watched.

Maybe they were going to have the receptionist clean your pipes?

Fooling around aside, the Porsches do have some body areas with drains, where water may collect. Most owners keep these clear of leaves and so forth on their own. Example, compartments on both sides of battery.

All kidding aside.. Cleaning the drainage holes in your car is something you need to look after yearly if not seasonally.

The two drains on either side of the battery compartment clog easily with small debris and you would be surprised how much water accumulated there quickly... enough to short your battery or worse; fry your brake booster.

This is a pic of one of the two on either side of the battery.

If the drains around the sunroof area clog then you get water in your backseat floor.

Good luck!
