Have you not contacted TRG or Bob yet as we have suggested many times?

Contacted TRG & Farnbacher Loles and they both quoted $4,400. No response yet from Viperbob. The price went up and the FX makes this a very expensive tiem. So Sunset at $4052 is a pretty good. I will have to follow up on one other lead for $3,300.

WOW!!! That's the s...ts! FX!! Funny, I used to be the Director of International Pricing for a large computer company (late-90s), and fx was always on my mind. Didn't even think about it in this regard. Probably worth it to look at a domestic aftermarket supplier then.

$4400? I just checked Carnewal at it's $3198 at the current exchange rate from them. That's w/o shipping from Europe though. Even with shipping though, it's got to be less than $4400.

is that a GENUINE Porsche RS wing or a replica?

it doesn't appear to have the metal brackets integrated to the bottom for attachment to the struts.

This is a replica but the quality is good since it was mfg in germany. You can use your old bracket from your GT3 or i can get you one.

Actually, you CAN'T use the factory brackets. They are part of the wing themselves not add-ons.

Hey Rodney!
So I bet the price in the $4k range was indeed for the Motorsport RS (as in R, RS, RSR car) race rear wing. That would indeed require a whole different deck lid and uprights. It's like the Cup Car wing.

Jonysan has the part number right and for sure on the 996GT3RS production car, and defininetly bought the right part at the right time. Porsche is charging mandatory PDX now (as of 10/07 I think) and they've increased the price. When I left TRG we had 1 unit in stock at about $2950? It had PDX attached to it.

So I'd say retail is probably $2900 now and PDX adds about 12-15% so yeah, $3300 is probably accurate. If you find conflicting info on this one I'll call it in to the old connections and see what's what.

Make sure any wing you buy has the correct aluminum mounting brackets (they insert into your existing wing uprights) otherwise the carbon will never be the same once you finish attaching them, that and they're not for sale separately.

Austin

btw, think that's crazy, those poor 997 GT3 owners, their RS wing kit requires a new decklid and sells for about $6500 last I checked.

Hi Austin,
I specifically used Jonysan's part number: street model 996 GT3 RS wing assembly, 996.512.959.94 and received email quote from Farnbacher Loles with the matching number. It this point $3,300 sounds good for the regular street RS wing... I spoke with the TRG person today and he said $4K+. I said for the RS Street Wing and he said Yes.

martind, Dell hit it on the head - No brackets, no Wing for me.

I ordered my wing from Martind. It should be here on Tuesday. He told me that Manthey made it. I paid $1600 for the wing. My order did not go smoothly.

I'd have to call BS when others are paying almost 3K for their Manthey wing. Something just doesn't add up. Oncd of the very reasons I have only bought PAG/PCNA/PMNA parts for my car.
