Sorry but I dont understand the standard Phillips screws holding the winglets on. My Origional wing has a screw head that you need a special allen key to remove them. Otherwise any kid who fancies having those on his Toyota can steal them in seconds.

Also, I got an email back from Manthey craigslist seller. He wants me to contact the actual people with his wings. Sounds pretty straight to me at this point.

Yes and when you posted the pics it was VERY evident it was a replica wing NOT a Manthey product as claimed. Fit and finish was obviously different as well. Didn't you also have to install the metal guides to the underside?
No big deal that people want to buy replica wings but know what you are getting. And for a seller to claim that is a Manthey product is a flat lie.

I emailed Bill at Rennworx a link to this thread...
and here was the response that I got...
Hi PJ,
That is very interesting I am sure that guy called me last week asking if I had any wings and I told him I had a used wing. It looks like he is trying to hustle my parts without knowing what is going on.
As for NEW Manthey wings if there are a couple of guys that want them I will do them for $2,600 each.
Regards,
Bill
I am not sure how many used wings he has... but I bought one last week... so that may be it...

Can we get a pool going and send Mooty over to Fremont to check out the address? If it's legit, he can personally report back with his findings if they are OE or if "they just happened to fall off a truck or something".

Guys,
I'm not happy about having a different screws on the wing. Shall I be worried about product's authenticity? The winglets came installed right out the box. Help!
