Perhaps it has been discussed somewhere here, but what I find interesting about the 996 GT3 is how small the cooling openings are in the front bumper. Porsche engineers worked overtime on cooling efficiency and aero on this one. 4porsh, I, and many others have hammered these cars in 100F temps and never once saw more than 190F on the dash or in the data.
I’m pleased to be able to post a pic of “my” 996 GT3. I have a 2005 Basalt Black Clubsport currently in transit to me (should arrive by first week of March). 29,500 km (18K miles) and all original. My last road car was a touring with euro buckets and was also black. There’s just no better road car out there as far as I’m concerned and the 996 cup will be glad to have a garage buddy (yes, I think of my cars as living, breathing things with their own emotions lol).
