hi alexander... I was just repsonding to your PM but I honestly haven't tried that. I'm guessing it "might" be possible with some mods but it was never designed for it. We made it for the safecraft units:

Sharkster - my pleasure - it's a nice piece of work - just needs to be a much bigger extinguisher for putting out car fires imho - for saving skin only it's probably just fine.

For your own use, it must be able to be removed when you are strapped in, and Holger's location is much more suitable, but one has to consider how the mount comes apart one handed while you are in the belts and trying to hold the bottle and release it at the same time?

Imagine if you are upside down and hanging in the straps and you need the bottle in a hurry before you decide where to put it if you plan to use it on yourself.

Hey V12 man, absolutely right. For a race car and/or that type of thing you need a full fire supression system. The one we have is for street/ocassional safety and some peace of mind (it's halon etc.. so it's smaller obviously). The way we went about is that if it's on the driver's seat whichever way you are facing you can just reach down with your hands (don't need to bend your back etc...). In a jam you can easily pull the in out with one hand and grab the extinguisher at the same time. If it's in the passenger seat it's a little more difficult to reach. Speaking of the passenger, we tried to recess it back as far as possible so the other half didn't complain too much

I definitely recommend the Sharkwerks mount and a compatible extinguisher of your choice. It fits with the OEM seat/brackets/subbelt and is a high quality piece.

As for the real clubsport extinguisher, it eats into passenger floor space and legroom and can injure your passenger if he/she is not careful! A solution that is flush with either seat is much better.

I'm sure sharkster can recommend a compatible Halon extinguisher.

+1 on the Sharkwerks. In addition to be the easiest setup, it's also the lightest.

Thank you guys. Sharkster's bracket is on its way - I will let you know whether I am able to tweak it so it works with oem clubsport extinguisher.

Hey Alexander, not tried it before that way but you never know... as I was saying if it doesn't work out just send it back (unless you want to try a safecraft). Good luck!

Old thread I know but does anyone know the part number for this Werner extinguisher?

The Werner extinguisher is no longer available.
The Clubsport fire extinguisher is now made by Gloria.
