Default Pagid P90-2 vs P40-3FF's Questions?

Hi Gang! What is the difference in these two pads? Also, any suggestion on what to replace the PCCB's with?

My PCCB equiped GT2 came with Pagid 90-2 pads (At least with only 600 miles on the car when I bought it I believe they were the original pads) I call the dealer to day to confirm the new pads (Install two weeks ago)part #s were correct. Front 980-351-939.00 and Rear 996 352 947-03 These are P40-3FF pads.

Here is why I ask.

Had 8,800 + miles on the 90-2's (about 80% worn) and lots of track time. Willow and Streets of Willow. Put new pads on (P40-3's) for two POC/PCA weekends at California Speedway. By Sunday morning the second weekend the fronts were totally gone and almost took out the rotors.

Now I know I was hauling a 3,300# car down from about 140 mph coming off turn 2 to about 25 mph into the 90 degree turn 3 and that would use up a lot of brake material. My wife was also running the time trials. However, I still thought they would last more then 4 days. Looking at the pads I noticed they were not the same as the original P-90-2's.

Any comments?

Also, suggestions on what rotors and pads to install on the front as I think the PCCB rotors are about done? Starting to flake.

Thanks for any imput. I started reading the info I found by using the search. However, there is so much I think it would take the rest of the week

Have Fun! Steve
