(*) I figure my cage added 75 lbs. Anyone know what the harnesses ad?
(*) SPA firebottle-- +10 lbs.
(*) Battery cutoff switch-- +5 lbs.
(*) You can't remove the carpeting and remain in a stock race class. Did lose the visors, tho.
(*) I removed the protruding rear aluminum bumper shocks when I bagged the bumperettes-- they maybe weighed 4 lbs.
(*) RS ram-air housing-- +4 lbs. ?
(*) Window net-- +4-5 lbs.
(*) Sub stock Bilsteins w. JRZ remote-reservoir struts-- - ? lbs.
(*) Nice race-seat swap for the truly hardcore-- new OMP HTS Comp all-carbon seat. Very light.
(*) Replace lead buckshot with steel in bandolier for concealed shotgun-- -8 lbs. (Thanks for the tip, Watt... )

I don't know how you factor for it but rotating weight reduction (wheels, brakes, flywheels etc) will count for more than static weight reduction in performance gains.

Sorry I thought the table would be obvious, but here is an index:

Reported by column is important because a table like this is meaningless without accurate numbers and therefore the reference is sited. So where it says "quartermile" I personally measured that item on a scale. "Estimate" means just guessing.

Savings means the difference where we don't have the weight of the two items being swapped. For example withh PCCB we don't know what the weight of steal or Ceramic brakes are but NJ-GT has quoted the difference presumably from a reliable source. Where the item was colored blue -- means IT HAS TO BE REPLACED, not simply deleted.

Planned means, I am planning on doing this change. I am not planning to do every possible reduction or exactly in the same way as someone else. So where indidcated the change is planned by me and if there is a check mark to the right means it is already done!

BTW my interior looks nothing like that picture above. In fact it looks far better than stock. Why would someone rip out the carpeting and leave the stereo, glovebox and console holder in place

I'll post some updated photos this weekend. Let me know if you see any errors, thanks!

You guys missed an easy one. Replace those heavy lead wheel weights with lightweight titanium ones! I have some available for $20 an ounce.
