Default Shifter Rehab

My GT3 has hit 60K miles and the bushings could use a bit of rehab. A quick search has brought the Function First "Shift-Right" solution to light.

I'd appreciate feedback for those who have done this or other"shifty" improvements. Thanks

I did this on my last car and really appreciated the improvement. However I’m not sure what my baseline condition was so it’s hard to gauge just how much I did improve the shift feel. My only issue is the cost. Seems pricey.

I have the 997 GT3 short shifter and numeric cables. Feels great. No personal experience but it appears many around RL have been happy with the Function First kit.

I recently built one using a C2 shifter and put it in my cup car. A definite improvement over the stock cup car shifter (which is better than the 996 GT3 shifter). The FF set up is rock solid and very slick.

It's been awhile but other than numeric there are the blue cupcar cables to boot if still available. If memory serves me right the 997.2 rs shifter has more metal parts with less flex compared to stock. If you doing cables u may notice more nvh vs stock cables. The 997.1 shifter is a nice option ie more metal parts less flex on shifting.
