I sent around a pile of pucks when I did my caliper rebuilds. If you find that thread, I'm sure you could locate folks that have one or two lying around.

Also, I did the racing brake SS piston upgrade, did a write up, and haven't had any issues to date.

A little uppdate,

I went ahead and ordered racingbrake pistons and seals for the front. Will only change the dust seals in the rear.
Also went with a local exhaust builder that will produce a new center muffler. Company name is Ferrita.

Will report back when stuff is installed on the car.

Finally got back home after spending 5 weeks on the road. First track day coming up this weekend, so pushing to get the car ready.
New center muffler courtesy of Swedish company Ferrita looks amazing and sounds way less than stock 997gt3 muffler. Sad but nessesary on most tracks over here.
Calipers are being rebuilt tonight and tomorrow, new brake lines are also being installed

Pistons are a pain in the a.. to remove. But, work is in progress. Weather is looking good for upcoming weekend so excited to get car back on track.
Here are some pics of braided brake lines and racing brake caliper pistons and seals.

Looking for the same pedal feel as my 997rs4.0

Car ran like a dream all day yesterday. Ferrita center muffler has a nice sound at high rpm. A little bit more muted than the 997cup/gt3 center that I ran before.
At low rpm its a lot more quiet than before.
New racing brake pistons and steel brake lines is a very good upgrade if any of you have cars with a lot of track miles and still run stock stuff.
Pedal feel is massively improved, I will however change to pagid blue or PFC 13 next time I´m due for new pads.

Very true statement and testimonial, an OE caliper rebuilt with better components (with fewer parts) not only can improve braking performance but can also reduce the brake maintenance (eg. brake fulid, pad, rotor replacement) in down time and cost. A very good investment only for those frequent track goers can really appreciate.

Why RB caliper rebuild components are highly recognized and so popular.
1. Better material - Stainless steel piston transmit only 1/10 of heat comparing to aluminum, High temperature silicone dust boots offer 50% higher in heat threshold.
2. Better design & construction - Thin wall SS piston, vent cut to improve brake release, fewer parts.
3. Manufactured with a tight tolerance between seal and piston - Assure highest braking efficiency and prolong the seal life.
4. Service & support - By our well trained tech staff.

We offer a convenient way for you to identify your calipers, and order the right components easily. The majority of customer order the bundle kit (Seal, Boots, and Pistons) for the optimal result and saving (10%).

Track season is in full spin, car is running great.
However, most of our tracks over here in Sweden are short and tricky compared to Sebring and Road Atlanta. Been running both Trofeo R and cup2s. The cup2s lasted 3 days and then blistered front left after not being able to run enough front camber. Set up is maxed out at 2.5 front and for some reason I can run 3.0 caber in the rear. Rear of the car feels really good and tires wear very even.

Found a used set of Tarett pro series front Lower control arms and caster arms. Going on the car tomorrow and see how we can get it aligned. I tried the search function but doesn’t seem to be very common to run these Tarett LCA?

Does anyone have some advice on how to run cup doors and make sure the airbag light doesn’t come on? Car will most likely loose its interior and get a full cage this upcoming winter.

Cup2s is very sensitive to heat. Short tracks with a lot of sharp turns.

Installed and ready for alignment. Original bolts are m12 an Tarett pro series are m14 so slight modification needed to make it work.

Did a quick shake down at a short narrow track yesterday evening.
I can highly recommend Tarett pro series lower control arms.
Really tightens up the front end of the car. I was running stock 996gt3 LCA that had 60k miles on them. Big difference in steering feel. Even tho I haven’t touched the springs or settings on my MCS suspension the car felt firmer in the front.

Car ran like a dream for four days at the Nürburgring last week.
Here is one of my better laps. Still a rookie with less than 100laps around this amazing track

Nice and smooth driving. How do you like the CAE shifter? Also the Ferrita silencer looks nice. How does the price compare to other offerings?

Thanks, still a rookie at the ring with less than a 100 laps. Trying to build speed and set lines.
The ferrita silencer really saved me in Sweden. Strict 95db on most tracks and my previous Sebring set up got black flagged every event.
I really like the feel and height of the CAE shifter. You probably wont shift any faster than a stock but it feels and looks great.
